Kenya declares Thursday a Public Holiday in honour of Pope Francis

It is now official. Thursday will be a public holiday.

The Kenya Government  has declared November 26 a Public Holiday and a National Day of Prayer and Reflection in honour of  Pope Francis.

“As we are privileged to be hosting His Holiness the Pope at the time, he will set the tone for the day”, said State House Spokesperson Manoah Esipisu on Tuesday.

The Pope  arrives in Nairobi on Wednesday evening for a three-day visit.
