IEBC, Uhuru, Raila answer Kenya Supreme Court on election judgement

Kenya Supreme Court has nullified President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election and ordered fresh presidential election in the next 60 days as per  the Kenyan constitution.

Meanwhile the Jubilee legislators have criticised the Supreme Court ruling, terming it a temporary setback and asking the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to call for another election as soon as possible.

On its side IEBC has said it will adhere to the ruling saying it will effect drastic changes internally.

“The Courts did not cast aspersions on the voting and counting of votes. The Commission will investigate any election offenses,” said IEBC on twitter.

On his side, President Uhuru Kenyatta said: “My primary message today to every single Kenyan is peace. Let us be people of peace.”
