Kenyan Couple appeals for help to clear sh2.5m hospital bill for triplets

“Is sh2.5m too much for God? No. God shall provide a way” reads a post on facebook, highlighting the plight of this young couple whose  triple blessings after six years in marriage has slightly been derailed by a hefty sh2.5million hospital bill.

Here is the story behind the sh2.5m.

Mr and Mrs Wesy Marwa, married since 8 April 2012, were blessed with triplets three months ago (February 20, 2018). It was joy beyond measure and a resounding blessing from God. Overwhelming happiness it was. However the three bundles of joy were born prematurely and had to stay in the nursery  and hospital ward for 45 days. When they were discharged, the bill was reading Sh3.9m.

Luckily, the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) catered for sh1m and so the young couple were left with a whooping sh2.9m to settle. From the sh2.9m target friends have already given close to sh400,000 meaning  the couple still need to clear the balance of sh2.5m.

“God has once gain been exceedingly gracious to the Wesley’s. Well, on February 20, 2018 we were blessed to behold new born babies (triplets) and feel the pride and joj they did bring to our family. Greater still we have seen their progress since then and how God has has fought for them since they were admitted at the MP Shah pediatric ICU, until our faith was made sight when they were discharged on April 5, 2018, ” Wesley Warwa wrote on a whatsapp group titled ‘Testimony of the Three’.

Mr Wesley narrates the nerve cracking set of  events as follows: Brief history is that our babies were born prematurely and this necessitated their admission at the facility (MP Shah pediatric ICU) to be stabilized and monitored. The trio were discharged after reaching the minimum weight required of 2kg.

The bill at the point of discharge stood at sh3.9 million. National Hospital Insurance Fund was able to foot sh1million, leaving the familiy to bear a burden of sh2.9m hospital bill.

To that end the family has planned a fundraiser on June 14 2018  in Nairobi at Professional Centre (Parliament Road) between 5pm-8pm.

An appeal goes to anyone on planet earth to step in and help the family clear the bill.

Let us all aspire to inspire before we expire. The three innocent souls will one day bear a testimony of what it means to have friends and people who care.

God bless you all.
