Sermon: No One Is Beyond God’s Saving Grace

Introduction: The title of our Sermon today is “No one is beyond God’s Saving Grace.”

My dear brothers, I bring you a message of hope today—a message straight from the heart of God. No matter what your past looks like, you are not beyond His love, His mercy, or His salvation. The world may have condemned you, but Jesus has not abandoned you. He sees you, He loves you, and He is still calling you to Himself.

Some of you may feel unworthy, thinking, “I have done too much wrong. Can God still forgive me?” But the Bible gives us a powerful example of a man in a situation just like yours—a man who found salvation even in his final hours

1. No One Is Beyond God’s Salvation: God’s Grace is Greater Than Your Past (Romans 5:8, Isaiah 1:18)

The Thief on the Cross – A Man Like You (Luke 23:39-43)

On the day Jesus was crucified, two criminals were also nailed to crosses beside Him. They were not innocent. They had broken the law and were sentenced to die.

One of the criminals mocked Jesus, but the other recognized the truth. He turned to Jesus and said:

“Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” (Luke 23:42, NIV)

What did Jesus say?

“Truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in paradise.” (Luke 23:43, NIV).

Indeed No One Is Beyond God’s Saving Grace

This man had no time to make things right, to prove himself, or to undo his past. Yet Jesus forgave him instantly.

Ellen G. White wrote about this moment:

“The thief on the cross was in no way able to make restitution for his past wrongs. But when he turned to Christ with a heart of faith, he was accepted. His sin-darkened soul was washed clean by the blood of Jesus. He was justified by faith, and Christ assured him of eternal life.” (Christ’s Object Lessons, p. 252)

Brothers, this means it is not too late for you. If Jesus could forgive a dying thief, He can forgive you today.

2. No One Is Beyond God’s Saving Grace: God’s Grace is Greater Than Your Past (Romans 5:8, Isaiah 1:18)

Some of you may feel, “I have done too much wrong. I cannot be forgiven.” But let me remind you of what the Bible says:

  • “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8, NIV)
  • “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” (Isaiah 1:18, NIV)

No sin is too great for God’s mercy. No past is too dark for His forgiveness. He can wash you clean.

Ellen White wrote:

“No man need say that his case is hopeless, that he cannot live the life of a Christian. By the sacrifice of Christ, every provision has been made for his salvation.” (Steps to Christ, p. 34)

No matter where you are, Jesus has made a way for you.

3. No One Is Beyond God’s Saving Grace:You Are Not Forgotten – Jesus is Calling You (John 6:37, 1 John 1:9)

The world may have judged and condemned you, but Jesus does not reject anyone who comes to Him. He said:

“Whoever comes to Me I will never drive away.” (John 6:37, NIV)

And He promises:

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9, NIV)

Ellen White assures us of Christ’s love:

“The Lord turns no weeping, contrite soul away. He does not tell to any all that He might reveal, but He bids every trembling soul take courage. Freely will He pardon all who come to Him for forgiveness and restoration.” (The Desire of Ages, p. 568)

It does not matter what the court has said. It does not matter what others think of you. What matters is what God says. And God says: “I am willing to forgive you. I am willing to save you.”

4. A New Beginning – Even Here

Some of you may feel, “What future do I have?” You may think that because of your situation, there is no hope for you. But let me tell you something: God is not finished with you.

Even here, in this place, you can experience His peace. You can find purpose. You can become a light to others.

Ellen White wrote:

“The soul that has given himself to Christ is more precious in His sight than the whole world. The Saviour would have passed through the agony of Calvary that one might be saved in His kingdom.” (The Desire of Ages, p. 483)

You are not forgotten. Jesus still sees value in you.

Look at the thief on the cross. His situation did not change—he still faced execution—but his eternity changed. His heart changed. He met Jesus, and that was enough.

The same can happen for you today.

Conclusion: Your Decision Today

Brothers, I do not stand here to judge you. I stand here to tell you that there is hope in Jesus.

If you turn to Him, He will not reject you. If you call out to Him, He will answer. If you surrender your life to Him, He will receive you—just as you are.

It is not too late. God’s mercy is here for you. His love is reaching out to you.

Like the thief on the cross, all you need to say is:

“Jesus, remember me.”

And He will.

Will you turn to Him today?
