Jubilee Rejects New IEBC Team, Chebukati tells them off

A statement has been issued by the Jubilee party through its Secretary General,Raphael Tuju rejecting the new Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC team that was announced on Wednesday by Chairman Wafula Chebukati.

The party, in the letter acknowledges it respects the poll body but it disagrees with the list that was put forward claiming that the list has people known to be partisan.

The names of the party members the party had an issue with include Marijan Hussein Marijan, Salome Oyugi,Decimah Mmayi,Chrispine Owiye,Joseph Ayatta,Joyce Ekuam,Limus Onyango and Caroline Manyange.
“Given the fact that acts of omission or commission that rendered the elections null and void originated from IEBC staff,we hereby register our strong objection to the deployment of the above to be in the position to run the process,” read the document.
However the IEBC chairman, Wafula Chebukati responded to Jubillee saying the commission is independent and no one should dictate its operations. See letter below from Mr Wafula Chebukati:
