Kenyatta family dishes out 2000 acres to squatters at the Coast

The elections are around the corner and vote hunting antics are on a high gear.

In what could be read as a gimmick to endear himself to coastal votes, President Kenyatta has  given out 2,000 acres of family land in Taita Taveta to squatters.

According to State House Spokesman Manoah Esipisu, the squatters “will get their title deeds in a few months time”

The 2,000 acres in Taita Taveta is part of 30,000 acres of land owned by the Kenyatta’s.

The President recently presided over the handover of about 5,000 title deeds to area residents including to the over 900 squatters on the contentious Waitiki land in Likoni.
