Why 15 June 2018 will be a public Holiday in Kenya
Tommorrow, the 15 th June 2018 will be a public holiday in Kenya, according to the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government Fred. Matiang’i.
Dr. Matiang’i declared the day a Public Holiday in order to accord all Kenyans and persons who profess the Islamic faith an opportunity to mate preparations to mark IDD-UL-FITR on Saturday, 16th June.
This is in line with the Gazette Notice isued under the hand of the Cabinet Secretary on 12th June 2018in exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of the Public Holidays Act.
