Through the app, that can be downloaded from Google Play Store, Apple Store and Zuri Health website, users will have access to different professionals and services despite their location.
Users can book appointments instantly with any medical professional or hospital within their geographical regions, book laboratory tests, chat with the practitioners via both message and video as an added feature and request for home visits by the Licensed and Certified Medical Practitioners.

Under Pharmacy, users can get their prescription and over the counter medication online and have it delivered to their doorstep. This will however come at an added marginal cost of 15%, which will be the commission for the company included in the listed price of the medical supplies on the app.
“To provide affordable healthcare to our clients, we aim to have the listed price reflect the prices you currently have on your products in the physical pharmacy,” reads the information package to pharmacies.
The SMS service functionality of Zuri Health has been designed to reach a wide range of individuals or users who may not have access to WAP or internet enabled devices.

In a statement the company said the app’s code was written, bearing in mind the daily challenges patients face in the journey of seeking affordable and accessible healthcare solutions.
“We solve the problem of expensive and inconvenient hospital trips for small or minor diagnosis and prescriptions, long waiting times and queues during doctors’ visits and appointments scheduling and booking which can be tasking. Through our mobile app, we also help doctors to tap into a wider market of on-demand patients and earn extra money while saving lives,” reads the statement in part.
Daisy Isiaho Project Manager and Co-founder in an interview said, “In my view, there is an urgent need to drive more meaningful conversations in relation to frameworks around Telemedicine because in Africa very few countries have these yet its fundamental if we should achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.”
Since the beta launch in November 2020 the company’s predicted three year growth plan is to have more than 20,000 registered doctors listed, 250,000 premium users and at least 1,000,000 mobile downloads.

This feature allows users to search for and filter hospitals by their proximity, fees, payment options and visitation times
Telemed
Zuri Health has incorporated the TeleMed feature which will allow for remote diagnosis and treatment of patients by means of telecommunications technology

Doc at Home allows users who may not have the ability to visit a physical healthcare facility to call for a home visit from a practitioner

Zuri Health Pharmacy feature
The Zuri Health pharmacy feature is an e-commerce platform that will list medical supplies from partnering pharmacies, exposing them to both patients and doctors. Within this feature, patients are able to purchase medication in a few simple steps.
Categories of Zuri Health medication
Medication in the Zuri Health Pharmacy has been categorised into two;
Over the counter medication, where patients can simply search for the medication they require, add to cart, pay and have the medication delivered.
Prescription medication, where patients upload a prescription from a doctor, have their rescription approved by a qualified pharmacist, filled and lastly, have their medication delivered to them.
The Zuri Health Pharmacy creates a seamless experience for the patient, since
the entire process is conducted and managed under the app.
